We’re pleased to announce the release of our second-generation Seal, a rugged tablet that’s built with a purpose, built to work, and built to last.
Designed to withstand the harsh realities of a workday that doesn’t always take place within four walls, the Seal was engineered to dominate the most punishing environments.
“It’s our smartest and strongest tool and we’re proud to launch it today.”
“Today’s workforce faces tough challenges and workers have to be more resilient than ever,” said Christian Bak, Bak USA’s vice president of product. “We built the Seal in Buffalo, New York, which reflects the rugged nature of the device. This community knows a lot about resilience and we wanted that to come through with the Seal, which was engineered to increase the capabilities of workers, simplify their tasks, and boost their productivity no matter where they are. It’s our smartest and strongest tool and we’re proud to launch it today.”
Bak USA’s new Seal tablet enables workers to be productive in extreme conditions. It’s water-resistant, weatherproof, dust resistant, and drop resistant so workers in industries like manufacturing, logistics, field services, and emergency services can get the job done in any environment.
“Available in a variety of hardware and software configurations, the Seal is Bak USA’s most flexible tool.”
Powered by a Quad-Core Intel Cherry Trail Z8700 processor and 8GB RAM, the second-generation Seal offers a significant boost in processing power and speed as compared to its predecessor, the Seal 8. It comes standard with 128GB of storage, multiple features for connectivity and productivity, and practical tools for life in the field.
Available in a variety of hardware and software configurations, the Seal is Bak USA’s most flexible tool. It can be configured to run either the Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro operating system. Standard features include built-in fingerprint reader, GPS, flashlight, NFC chip, front and rear cameras, hand strap, multiple ports, and a stylus. Optional hardware add-ons include a barcode scanner, an RFID reader, or a package that includes both.
“It’s important that workers have computers that can keep up with day-to-day demands.”
“Workforces are constantly evolving,” said Bak USA President Ulla Bak. “It’s important that workers have computers that can not only keep up with day-to-day demands but also effortlessly meet their ever-changing needs—no matter where they work. Our new Seal brings us one big step closer to achieving our vision of making high-quality computers accessible to as many people as possible—including workers who deserve the technology tools they need to be productive.”
